Isi artikel
There are more than 284 dams in Indonesia. One of them is Sermo dam. It is suspected that Sermo dam is suffered from deformation caused by i.e.avalanche, three-dimensional position so it is very urgent to monitor this dam. In order to monitor Sermo dam, a Robotic Total Station (RTS) was installed at permanent building and an array of permanently mounted prisms were installed to detect three dimensional displacements continuously. The RTS are remotely operated and automatically collect three dimensional data on a set of time schedule. The RTS is placed at permanent building located at SRM1 about 800 m south of the dam. The 19 prisms have been placed for all of Sermo dam body (up stream and down stream) as sensors. These sensors are 19 which were installed along the dam body. Those consist of 6 sensors at the down stream and 13 sensors at the crest of Sermo dam. The RTS collects data of horizontal, vertical angle and slope distance using Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) which sampling rate of sensors observation is 10 minutes. These sensors are integrated into one system to monitor the deformation continously and automatically.
