PT. Duta Abadi Primantara (PT. DAP) has been experiencing delay in response to raw material orders for their factory branches. This problem is also coupled by the non-existence of working standard. In order to further understand current problems, business process mapping is being conducted by using Data Flow Diagram (DFD). Understanding business process is very useful in analyzing organizations – in this case, help controlling departments and each business processes. After business process mapping, business process improvement is conducted and remedies are employed. Remedies include process improvement, form improvement, and business standards.Process improvement includes elimination of duplicates, simplification and additional operation processes. Ms. Excel and Ms. Access used for form improvement, which includes branch order form, order receipt form, purchase return form, and packing list. Business standards include new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that serves as guidance on conducting business processes. Tests have been done by PT. DAP employees related to new forms, resulting in easy-to-fill forms and clear outputs. Cross-functional communication is very important for further continuous improvements. |
