Internationalization is commonly defined as the degree of the firm’s dependence on foreign markets and resources (Sullivan, 1994). Many researchers have conducted studies on the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Such studies are very important because of the economic role of SMEs which provides employment to millions of people around the world. R&D spending is an important predictor of internationalization.
