This Thesis is the first research performed with the aim to analyze impact of the agreement on textile and clothing (ATC) on tehcnical efficiency with firm data in Indonesia textile and textile priduct industry. Having a data sample from 2002 to 2006, this research focused on the impact of ATC-also called trade libertalization of world textile and textile product-which waws officially conducted by january 1st, 2005. Using stochastic Frontier Aproach (SFA) this research estimates firm technical efficiency score. Next step, the ordinary least square (OLS) method is used to analyze the dummy variable pre- and post-ATC to capture the impact of this agreement on firm technical efficiency. This Research finds that ATC-as a trade liberalization of world textile product-has a significant and positive impact on firm technical efficiency in Indonesia Textile and Textile Product industry.
