Isi artikelCurrently a model integrating STD services into existing ambulatory/Mother and Child Health (MC)/family planning (FP) services in the Puskesmas (Public Health Center) is Unavailable. The objectives of this study is to develip an intervention model in reducing the risk of STDs including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B infection for low income MWRA (Married Women of Reproduction Age) through integrating STD services into MCH/FP services in the four Puskesmas both in theurban and rural areas. A survey of knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) was conducted among 400 MWRA visiting the Puskesmas who were randomly selected. In addition, screening for selected STDs used wet-mount, Gra staining technique and Elysa test were performed among 1200 MWRA visiting the Puskesmas. the result of the lab screening showed rate of SDT infection is apparently a common problem among MWRA visiting Puskesmas both in the urban and rural areas.
