Dierct Current (DC) motor speed controller uses proportional integral differential (PID). Derivative gain must be determined based on DC Motor parameters that's seldom known. Designing adaptive DC motor speed parameter's values not necessary because system had the adaptation algorithm to find DC motor parameter's value. Adaptive control research technique with motorola M68HC11A1 microcontroller used self turning regulator (STR) scheme. The least - mean squares (LMS) algorithm for DC motor parameters estimation and pole placement algorithm for proportional integral (PI) controller. This DC motor speed regulation system has 0.8 second respond to reach steady safe int he first step of adaption and small (8 miliseconds) iteration time.
