Isi artikelWe used Six Sigma DMAIC concept to approach the frequency shift problem of the quartz crystal oscillator product during manufacturing process. With value stream method in define phase, we found the quality characteristic of adhesive bonding strength due to curing temperature parameter setting of tunnel-shape oven to be the cause of the frequency shift. Factorial design experiment was carried out in improve phase to identify the best parameter setting for the curing operation. The defect rate reduced significantly from 1.99% to 0.57% after implementing this new parameter setting.
