Isi artikel
Behavior, experiences, and expectations of 23-year-olds in Hamburg in 1964 (birth cohort, 1941) were analyzed in respect ta occupation, family, and society. The cohort concept as a new approach to the problem of generations was derived from demography. A random sample of 800 standardized interviews was used plus 200 intensive interviews with additional standardized and free questions. One aspect was role-behavior and role-expectations. While traditional role interpretation is still prevailing, there is a trend towards partnership in the family. In the first period of marriage, the woman's occupation is limited by familial duties. Return ta premarriage occupation remains uncertain.
