Isi artikelQuality is one criteria to be considered by customer to choose a product. Quality of a product was made by company, appropriated with customer requirement. The main material of produict (filter) is tow, so need to find a solution to conduct tow efficiency. The most important quality characteristic of filter to customer is pressure drop (PD). This research focussed on reduction of PD variability. A good process is a process that able to yield filter with low variability. Filter with high PD will result with high reduction of tar and nicotine, so cigarette will felt insipid While too low PD will result cigarette felt condensed.Process improvement conducted by using DMA!C (define, measure, analyze, improve and control) cycle of sigma six as a framework. Improvement process conducted by using design of experiment with Taguchy method. The optimum combination are pressure pretention roll equal to 1,2 psi, speed ratio equal to 1,33 and garniture gap equal to 1,35 mm.
