Isi artikelBoth wavelet packets (WP) dan cosine packets (CP) have recently emerged as powerful tools for signal compression, particularly in areas of still image and video compression. The time-frequeny analysis using CP and WP algorithm are presented along with the results of compression numbers for ECG data. The entropy-base criterion and optimal pruning algorithm are used to choose the best tree basis of CP and WP. The figure of phase (time-frequency) plane, basis tree, decomposition process and compression numbers plotted is to compare the localisation performance of CP and WP.
