Isi artikelEvisceration is a procedure to repair damaged eye bulb with 0 (zero) visual to obtain better cosmetically appearance. To describe complications after evisceration with dermis-fat grafting in Saiful Anwar Hospital, a retrospective study of patients who had been performed evisceration with dermis-fat grafting from January 2000 until December 2004 had done. The data taken was age, sex, time of operation, complications and duration between operation and its managements. Samples were 23 patients who had been performed evisceration with dermis-fat grafting. The age range from 5 years until 62 years, and the mean age was 27 years (:t SO 13.6). The sex ratio was 9 (39%) male, and 14 (61%) female. We found 13 patients (56.5%) have no complications and 10 patients (43.5%) with complication, 6 of them (26.1%) suffered contracted socket, 3 (13%) suffered' granulation socket, 1 (4,4%) suffered anopthalmic ptosis. The mean duration between operation and fornices repair in contracted socket cases was 21.2 months. The mean duration between operation and granulation excision was 10.3 month. In this study, complications after evisceration with dermis fat grafting that could be happened were contracted socket, granulation socket, anopthalmic ptosis.
