Stimulated by the pioneering studies of thibaut and walker (1975) on different methods of dispute resolution in legal settings, an increasing amount of research has been conducted on issues of procedural justice, which has been defined as the perceived fairness of decision making processes. The primary focus of this research has been on comparing the fairness of different procedures. Such a comparison in found in research on voice and mute procedures.
