The objective of the study is to investigate the effects of pressure after foundry on the physical and mechanical properties of aluminum-silver alloys. The physical properties consist of porosity, density, and microstructure, and mechanical properties consist of tensile strength and hardness. The specimens is made from 5 types of casting, i.e. aluminum without addition of silver, aluminum with 3 wt % of silver, and 3 variation of pressure after foundry of aluminum with 3 wt % of silver. The testing of specimens were conducted Universal Testing Machine and Brinell hardness tester. The result of the study shows that addition of 3 wt % ofsilver decrease in hardness, but increasing of pressure load after foundry increases tensile strength and hardness of the alloy. The addition of 3 wt % of silver and increasing of pressure load after foundry decreases porosity and grain size of microstructure. There is no change on density since increasing of pressure load.
