The impact of the introduction of a computer - based information system on the system users' level of information satisfaction and job satisfaction was investigated. Both types of satisfaction increased after the new systems were introduced. In addition, it was found that those information system departments that were well managed tended to produce a greater degree of satisfaction among their system users.
