Isi artikelThe characteristics of high temperature corrosion of the SA 209 T1 steel in fly ash media have been investigated. The material is put in the mixture of fly ash and NaCI as impurities, and then it is heated in the furnace at 600 degree Celsius. The variation of NaCl contents are 0%, 0.1% 0.5% and 1% (w/w). The holding time is variated from 25, 50 and 75 hours. The corrosion rate stated by weight loss per surface area per holding time The results of the research show that the corrosion rate increases as increase the NaCl contents. The surface hardness of the materials doesn't change significantly. The micro structure shows there is an intergranular attack of the material.
