Every one of those disaster caused a huge loss t mankind; many houses are destroyed, countless belongings are lost and destroyed, tens of thousan people are ill and many families lost their loved ones. The large number of victims who came on such short notice and also the unpredictable nature o the event caused health facilities, especially hospitals, to be overwhelmed in terms of staff medicines medical equipment, and other facilities and utilities. In the first and second days post-Jogjakarta an Central Java earthquake for example, all hospitals in Jogjakarta and the surrounding area ivere in th slate of chaos or crippled, unable to provide decent health service for the waves and waves of victim During that lime, hospitals should use disaster management to overcome it.
