The role of immune system is taking care of the body including the success of the reproduction. Immune system can differentiate self antigen with non-self antigen. The antigen which is not presented in fetus life is known as non self antigen. Spermatozoa is the antigenic sites in the head. neck and tail of sperm. This antigen simulated antibody production auto anti gently toward themselves as well as hetero-antigen toward female. Immune response is normal if it is still immuno tolerant in order for female to be able to be pregnant. In normal condition, male immune system can’t response because there is a blood barrier in the testes. The formation of antis perm antibody may happen to: male with vasectomy, traumatic testes, anal intercourse,, and mechanic broken/mucus chemistry toward female reproductive system. Antisperm antibody is one of infertility causes through direct intrusion toward sperm function in fertilization. The intrusions are: sperm agglutination, sperm immobilization, cytotoxic reaction, and barrier acrosom reaction. Higher antisperm antibody infemale serum and sperm surface may lower the success of in vitro fertilization.
