A fully-coupled three-dimensional buffeting analysis method is proposed, which utilizes the computational fluid dynamics method to evaluate the required aerodynamic coefficients. After assessment of the aerodynamic coefficients by computational fluid dynamics, the buffeting response of slender bridge deck is evaluated by frequency analysis based on finite element approach which is applied not only to the structural modeling but also to the evaluation of the buffeting forces. The proposed method is applied to a simple bridge example with fixed boundaries at both ends.
