The purpose of this research, conducted through Tribhuvan University, is to explore the following questions: 1) What kind of educational materials are available in the minority languages of Nepal? 2) What kind of educational materials are needed for further educational development of speakers of the minority languages of Nepal? As of December 2005, instructional materials and literature in 34 languages of Nepal were collected and analyzed. This gave an overall picture of the distribution of literacy literature materials in mother tongues of Nepal.
