Isi artikelThe national information infrastructure will change the way we work, learn, live, play and communicate with each other. Although the NII will be built, owned and operated by the private sector, government policy can play an important role in its development by reforming telecommunications policy, promoting NII applications, resolving information policy issues such as privacy, security and intellectual property and investing in long term R & D. Furthermore, america's NII is only a component of the emerging global information infrastructure.
