The CES is a monthly sample survey of nearly 400,000 business establishments that provides monthly estimates of nation wise non farm payroll employment, published on the first friday of each month. This year's benchmark revision, published with the june employment situation press release, was an upward adjustment of approximately 750,000 or 0,7 percent, indicating stronger job growth than previously reported for the april 1993 through march 1994 period.
