Isi artikel
The issue of problematic data int he organizational sciences is an area that is both interesting and, in a historical sense, somewhat neglected. We can all think back to our graduate school experiences in research methods classes and the effort that went in to teaching us about interesting and elegant procedures such as multiple regression, MANOVA, structural equations, factor analysis and the like. We can also readily bring to mind individuals with careers that have contribtued a great deal to our understanding of a variety of procedures (e. g. frank schmidt and jack junter on meta analysis, larry james and his work on aggregatingd ata, etc). I suspect others, like myself, found such materialin graduate school and in their academic careers both challenging and intriguing. Little did i suspect in graduate school, or early in my academic career, the the data that went into such procedures could, on occasion, be so unruly.
