Isi artikel
Few objective data exist to support or refute the need for routine intraoperative cholangiography during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Because of the current technical limitations of laparoscopic surgery, it may be appropriate to perform cholangiography on a routine basis to delineate the biliary anatomy, prevent catastrophic bile duct injuries, rule out calculi in the cystic duct stump, and develop the skills necessary to perform cholangiography reliably and to manage the common bile duct calculi. Fluoroscopic techniques obviate many of the problems associated with static cholangiography and should be used when possible.
