Traditional vein harvesting techniques are associated with significant discomfort and complication rates as high as 43%. Less invasive techniques have been proved to be feasible and seem to reduce wound complications and hospital length of stay Because instrumentation is still being refined and long-term graft patency data are not available, further study is required to evaluate fully these emerging technologies.
