S. 1978 benchmark input - output (I - O) accounts are now available. Commerce's bureau of economic analysis (BEA), which prepare sthe accounts, rpesented a summary version of the accounts in the april and may issues of the survey of current business. The summary version features an expanded sector aggregation of ninety - five industries with increased detail on service industries. BEA is offering the summary version on a diskette in a user -friendly spreadsheet format. The fully detailed I - O accounts with nearly 500 industries are also available in a machine readable format.
