Isi artikel
The lead article this month, "Building improved official statistics for decision making", focuses on the improvement of official statistics by using the newly revised international standard for national income accounting - The system of national accounts (SNA). This statistical corenr reprints the overview of the SNA contained in statistics for the 21 st century recently published by professor andrew gross and me. The overview serves as a brief introduction to the newly revised system that should be available from the sponsoring organizations by the time this column appears. Statistics for the 21 st century is available free of charge to all interested members of NABE. If you did not return the coupon in the latest issue of NABE news, you can obtain a copy by writing to me at The Dun & Bradstreet corporation, 299 park avenue, new york, N. Y. 10171. The book elaborates in the recommendations summarized in the lead article this month.
