At the present time, resouce distribution between the center and periphery is not proportional and imbalance, causing a more serious disparity between the national and regional economy. Indonesia needs to renew the existing laws on the implementation of the local government, particularly those concerned with a more just and balanced resource and income distribution between the central and local government.
