Isi artikelThe aim of this research is to bring about an instructional scenario to facilitate learning the concept of angle in secondary school using guided reinvention approach. This research is a qualitative exploratory research examining the usage of an instructional scenario design in the classmom activity. The examination is carried out qualitatively to describe the actual learning trajectory. Research subject is one seventh-grade mathematics classroom. Research findings indicate that learning the angle concept can be fulfilled by the process of guided reinvention. The process takes place in consecutive levels, i.e. situational, referential, general, and formal levels, preceded by contextual problems. This instructional scenario can be used as an initial prototype in the future developmental research to develop an instructional model of the concept of angle using the guided reinvention approach. Moreover, the research process and result can be utilized as a guidance in carrying out similar research on the other mathematical topics.
