Isi artikel
Balancing work life and family life has become a major issue for today's work force. The issue is especially critical for employees whi are part of two craeer families, a group that now includes approximately 47 million people in the united states. At a time when many companies are stream lining their work force to become lean and mean, expecting more work from fewer people, it is becoming increasingly difficult for employees to cope with the demands of professional careers, child rearing, home management, job relocation, and other long term stresses. While this work home strain is experienced by both female and male employees (as men assume more family care responsibilities), it is often felt most stringly by women. Work family strains have become a special concern for organizations with large numbers of professional and managerial women in their mid thirties who hace achieved positions of considerable responsibility and are now considering or just starting a family.
