Electronic devices facilitate and ex¬pand the capabilities of the medical practitioner. Recently, nonin¬vasive monitors have been developed to supplant or substitute for invasive monitors. This article explores several noninvasive monitoring techniques that assess oxygenation and delivery, per¬fusion, and end-organ function.
