Improvement in knowledge, skills, attitude and behavioral changes, correction of performance deficiencies are needed to improve performance and productivity. Training and development is one of human resource function that has a critical role in achieving all parameters, although it has been regarded as an expensive investment and not casy to conduct in an effective manner. It must be considered carefully because there are many variables and issues related. Some are training needs analysis and transfer of training. This article highlights that supply-led, demand-led approaches as well as trainee-centered can be used in training needs analysis to colleet information of performance environmental factors that are related and must be considered in order to achieve successful transfer of the training process.
