The aim of this study was to identify the correlation between weight gain and arm circmference during pregnancy and to find if the change of arm cicumference could indcate maternal nutrional status.This study took place in Trenggalek Regency, Province of East Java, desingned as longitudinal study. Sample was 102 pregmant women, monitored from first trimseter to third trimseter. The result showed that there was significant carrelation between maternal weight and cicumference in fist trimester (R-0893, p = 0.000), in second trimester (R = 0.876, p = 0.000), and in third trimester (R = 0.855, p = 0.000). There was also significant carelation between weight gain and the change of arm cicumference from first trimester to second trimester (R = 0.550, p = 0.000), from second trimester to third trimester (R = 0.440, p = 0.000) and from first trimester to third trimester (R = 0.573, p =0.000). Based on the result, it could be concluded that there was carrelation between weight gain and arm cicumference during pregnancy. If weight gain could indicate nutritional status of pregnant women, then arm circumference had possibility to indicate status if pregnant women
