Catechin obtained from green tea exstrac emirically was used for anti inflammatory. This study was a laboratory exsperimental study. Subyects were male marmot of 2-3 month old with body weight of 200-300 gr, divided into 5 groups. Group 1 were given CMC as solvent for catachin . Group 2 were given with aspirin. Group 3 were given with catachin of 50 mg/kg bw. Group 4 were given with catachin of 100 mg/kg bw. Group 5 were given with catachin of 200 mg/kg bw. Treatment was examined using pletismometer. Data obtained were analysed by the use of anova test, if significant difference was found, the analysis had been continuted by using LSD test. The results of this study showed that the catachin 100 and 200 mg/kg bw have effect anti inflammatory but less than aspirin
