Isi artikel
Survey data from Baoding, China, showthat the child’s life-course location affects the likelihood of residing with a parent. When parents and grown children co-reside, the child’s progress toward full adulthood increases the likelihood that the generations will budget separately. Marriage is the most significant marker of adulthood, but its effects differ for sons and daughters.
