In the last decade, information technology has proven to be the major enabler that has helped organizations to exist in tight of business competition and improve the organizations performance. Organizations continue to invest heavily in information technology with the purpose to enable its employee to use technology effectively and efficiently. The objective of this research is to see the determinants such as social factor, affect, complexity, job fit, long term consequences, and facilitating condition to information technology adapted the theory of behavior proposed by Triandis (1980). Beside a research model developed by Goodhue and Thompson (1995) connecting the use of information technology with performance is applied in the research. The questionnaire was completed by 80 staff and supervisors from banking industry in Makassar city, and the measures and research hypotheses were analyzed using SPSS 11,0 for windows. The research shows that the relationship is positive and significant between social factor, job fit, long term consequences with information technology utilization. Meanwhile, facilitating condition does not have any significant relationship with the information technology utilization. The research also shows affect and complexity have a negative relationship with information technology utilization. The research support the relationship between the information technology utilization and individual performance. The research success to show the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) stating that information technology utilization could affect the performance.
