Because of its potential as a strategic tool to get a competitive advantage for a company, IT plays a very important role. The Executive support Is an aspect that determines corporate effectiveness in the implementation of IT. The study aims to provide empirical proofs on the impact of executive support in terms of executive participation and involvement in the improvement of the company's information technology management and the impact of company's condition on the improvement of information technology management. The objects of the research are those in the areas of banking, retailers, publishers and investments, while the respondents were the IT, IS or EDP department head. Data collection is carried out by mail survey and direct visit to the intended respondents. 109 respondents were involved in this study. The data are analyzed using AMOS and SPSS programs to prove the proposed hypotheses. The result indicates that executive participation has a positive effect on the information technology development. It also indicates significant relation between executives involvement and information technology improvement. Furthermore, the last testing showed quite a strong association between the variables of executive participation, organization condition and information technology development used in the companies through executive involvement. The limitation of this study lies in the use of various scales. Nevertheless, this study may lead to other researches that will involve other variables not yet observed in this research.
