Isi artikelThis article presents the IMPACT (Improving Mood: Providing Access to Collaborative Treatment for Late-Life Depression) model as a case study in moving from the development of an evidence-based model of care for late-life depression to the implementation of the model in diverse health care settings. Four steps in this impementation process are discussed: (1) research regarding the clinical epidemiology of late-life depression; (2) the development of a feasible, evidance-based intervention strategy; (3) the evaluation of the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the intervention in diverse settings; (4) moving from research to practice.
