Four steps in this impementation process are discussed: (1) research regarding the clinical epidemiology of late-life depression; (2) the development of a feasible, evidance-based intervention strategy; (3) the evaluation of the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the intervention in diverse settings; (4) moving from research to practice.
