The D - 48 is a non verbal analogies test used as a measure of general intelligence, widely known in Europe and other parts of the world, but not the US. The results of a study with 126 Mexican - American and 139 Anglo - American seventh graders are presented and these show the D - 48 to be reliable, free of slope or intercept bias, a valid indicator of performance on Stanford Achievement subtests and significantly correlated with both achievement and teachers’ evaluations of intelligence.
