Isi artikel
In recent years, an increasing number of studies regarding narrative have appeared in the literature of diverse fields including anthropology, gender studies, history, and developmental psychology. The role of narrative in the practice of consultation, however, has not yet been explored. In this article, the authors make visible how narrative is already at work in their practice as consultants. Through analysis of a case example and a brief exploration of narrative theory, the authors also offer recommendations as to how narrative can be effectively and helpfully used in the practice of consultation.
