Members of the baby boom generation, narrowly defined as those born from 1947 through 1949, will begin reaching the normal retirement age of 60 next year, a development that is expected to have widespread implications for japanese society. This is called the 2007 problem. In amrch 2006, I conducted a questionnaire survey of 2,156 male and female baby boomers accross japan with the help of bungei shunju and yahoo research.
