Many manufacturing companies maintain warehouse to store their finished goods inventories. In the face of rapidly increasng demands on warehouse operation, the planning and management of today's warehousing operations is very important. To cope PT. Altikamurni Internusa must turn to simplification and process improvement as means of managing warehouse. This research is meant to serve as best practice for warehouse operation improvement through the implementation of dedicated storage policy. Dedicated storage also, referred to as fixed storage, involves the assignment o fspecific storage location or storage addresses for each product stored. The storage location of the product is based solely on the part number asssigned to it. Low part numbers are assigned to the best location in the storage region, the higher the part number, the less desirable is its location. Typically, part number assignments are made arbitrarily, without reward to activity. Throughput based dedicated storage is preferred to part number sequencing storage when there are significant differences in either the activity level or the inventory level for products being storage.
