Autonomous vehicle or widely known as intelligent robot requires an environment detection system for moving autonomously without hitting any other objects around it. One of the autonomous moving vehicle environment detection system is using ultrasonic sensor. This paper will discuss an autonomous moving vehicle environment detection system based on microcontroller using 8 pairs of ultrasonic sensor as tranducer which could detect objects around the autonomous moving vehicle. As the result of the trial, this tool can be used as an environment detection system in autonomous moving vehicle.
