The windings of thread in small scale garment industries are still processed amnually. The wound thread ahs difference length etween the length profuced and the length desired. To solve the problem, the industries need an accurate and efficient device used to wind the thread. This paper discusses the device that can execute the winding of theread on two 6,4 cm bobbin size sequentially. The device can measure and detect the broken thread during the process of the winding performed. The optocoupler used for sensing the measuring length and detecting the broken thread. The microcontroller AT89C51 used to control the process of the of system. From the test result this device can wind the thread with a constant length and the length of thread measured has failure not more than 0,3% from the desired length.
