Isi artikel
This article reviews two books in the Sage 'Gender and Psychology' series, Resisting Gender and Standpoints and Differences. Unger's book is an examination of 25 years of North American feminist psychological scholarship and professional development from her own unique vantage point. Henwood, Griffin and Phoenix's edited book is an exploration of the benefits for feminist psychology of engaging with both feminist standpoint and poststructuralist theories. All but one of the contributors to this volume are from the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Each book stands alone as a superb collection of feminist scholarship from within its continent of origin. Read together, they give an interesting picture of the breadth of feminist psychology in the United States and Europe, in approach and methodology and in relationship to mainstream psychology.
