Xanthine oxidase (XO) is enzyme which contains molibdenium metal, FAD coenzyme, and two center Fe-S. They are found in the kidnet, gastrountestunal milk and liver. XO work in purine metabolism to catalyst the changes of hypoxantine to xanthine and finally to uric acid. The highest factor of increasing uric acid depends on the food consumed such as lievr, yeyenum, sanchovi and yeast. At pH physiologic only uric acid, mononatrium salt and uric antrium are found there, while at pH 5,75 natrium uric concentrate is the same as uric acid and at pH 5,75 more the natrium uric is less in aquepus. If natrium uric is more in serum, it is called hyperuricemia and if the natrium uric is precipitating in solution it is called acute gouty arthritis (gout diseases). The aerobic XO producing free radical oxygen (ROS) such as anion superoxide ang hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Free radical XO is very reactive and dangerous for cell which causes oxidative stress to phatogenesis diseases.
