This article presents a summary of findings from a systematic exploration of the hospitality industry and its surroundings. As more attention is now being channeled and redefined by others towards seeking a greater understanding of hospitality, the expectation of better understanding of the industry has already been expressed that the subject will cultivate, develop and widen. After taking into consideration the etymology of hospitality, the article goes on to explore its milieu in relations to the tourism sector. Indeed understanding the various definitions of hospitality is very important at both practical and theoretical levels.
