This paper was to analyze the condition and the role of indonesia's manufacturing industries and then determine the direction of these manufacturing industries. It utilizes input-output data to examine the structure, conduct and performance of the manufacturing industries. The structure is observed using backward and forward linkages analyses. The conduct is bserbed using comparisons between the condition of intermediate demand and final demand, export demand and domestic demand, trade margin and transportation cost, import dependency and energy contents. The performance is observed using productivity and efficiency analyses. The result shows that the development of indonesia's manufacturing industries, textile and garment industries, wood and furniture industries, and accessories or miscellaneous manufacturing industries.
