This paper is a theoretical study on the transitory and possible long run macroeconomic implications of unexpected and severe one time disasters and terrorist attacks 9i.e. physical shocks) on human capital and physical capital. This apper examines the direct, indirect and secondary effects of one time antual disasters and other physical shocks on physical capital and human capital. We found that shocks on human capital stock may have more severe effects on amcro dynamics than shocks on physical capital, given our parameter value assumptions. We also showed that minimizing welfare losses is possible via selecting the right policies.
