The value of the developing technology as aids to education cannot be predicted in advance of experimental trials because of differences among various specific educational situations. These include differences in educational objectives sought, in the extent to which the environment of school, home, and neighborhood encourages learning, in the extent to which the student's friends and respected associates encourage learning, and in the extent to which the device appropriately fits into the total learning process.
