Although John Dewey never viewed himself as working within the field of educational technilogy perse, his contributions to th efield arguably place him foremost among the pantheon of the field's major influences along with Skinner, Vygotsky, Piaget, and Bruner. This article illustrates the impact Dewey's ideas have had on educationel technology using his own words with occasional reference to more modern texts as a witness to the influence of these words.
